original russo sub doused with oil and vinegar is sooo good.. gooshy white bread sub.. with tomatoes, pickles, onions.. their tuna salad platter is good too.. it's a hole in the wall that never changes.. thinking i am having a "russo's craving" just thinking about this place..

Not like the amazing subs at Tsunami, Jersey Mikes, or Poor Boys, if you're from Jersey. First impression I almost didn't eat there because it smells weird when you walk in, not like a sandwich shop. And not good service. Also the Google/Yelp location is marked across the street but it is the Kmart shopping center. The bread was consistency of marshmallows, the meat was mostly hanging off the sandwich, they do not season the sub in any way and there's no salt and pepper on the tables. There's oil on the table but if you want vinegar it's on top of the garbage can! We ordered a sub to eat there and it was wrapped as if it was to go. Then when I asked for plates, she looked at me like I was crazy and didn't even know where the plates were. Also had a cookie, tasted like bread and crumbled apart at first touch. I will not be back

BEST SUBS AROUND!!!! always delightful staff and a clean well organized place! I grew up eating Russo's. My family moved away and when they visit they always want to go to Russo's!!

My review goes right along with everyone else's. I grew up and lived 23 years of my life in palm beach county and Russos is definitely a classic. My parents were the type to introduce me to every type of food, but as a standby if we just wanted a good sandwich- we'd pick up some Russos. The bread they use is awesome- always sweet and soft, and they put a good amount of thick cut cold-cuts on every sandwich. Add some tomato, onion and pickle and you're set. If you're adventurous, they have pre mixed dressings of just oil and vinegar but this sandwich doesn't need a thing. Anytime I go home, I have to bring a few back with me to Orlando, which I'm eating for lunch today!

Whenever I visit my hometown this is my first stop. Before i head back home i grab 1 for the road. Nothing like a russo's sub. I only order the original russo sub, not sure how the others taste.

Clean. Good bread. However the place has such potential to be better. If they used a proper dill pickle on the sandwich it would be an upgrade. Also, the cold cuts are sub par. The salami is like cheap imitation bologna. Grey matter with spots. They should upgrade to namebrand ingredients then there would be something to truly rave about.

This place should have a sign that says "keep it simple stupid". Amazingly simple fare but perfect. Had Russo original 12" (why not if the small is 9"?). Bread was sweet and fresh, meat was thick sliced but very tender with fresh consistency. Great fountain soda. Oil could have a bit more flavor but really...oil, vinegar, crush red pepper made this grinder just delicious.

After seeing the stellar reviews and line out the door I figured I had to see what this place was about. I ordered both the Russo and a meatball sub. I'd say both are about average, perhaps slightly above. The bread is nice and soft if that's what you like. Personally for meatball subs I like pizzeria style where its baked and the bread is crispy. The service is very fast even with a line. The place is obviously above average to many based on other reviews and the crowd....I'm just not sure why. Perhaps they tapped into the lunch crowd interested in something "better than subway". I would just as soon go to publix for an Italian sub if time wasn't concern.

Russo's is good. Scratch that. Russo's is the best. The customer service is alright, but then again you don't go to Russo's and expect fine dining service. The employees there do what they need to do; take your money in exchange for a premium cold cut sandwich. Nothing more, nothing less. When you walk in, don't stand at the counter and ponder over what you want for 5 minutes. Instead, you walk in, order a Russo with double meat, double cheese, wait 3 minutes, and drown it in olive oil and crushed red pepper. It's not one of those "have it your way" restaurants, it's a "wow, I didn't know I wanted tomatoes, but I'm happy they're there." So, if you're still indecisive, try Russo's; you won't be disappointed. They're better than any other sub shop out there (that's not opinion, it's fact). Just go there, order a sub, get your Russo card stamped, and enjoy your sandwich. Lather, rinse, repeat.

The "Russo" sub is a West Palm Beach classic! They also have an excellent hot meatball sub. Want a delicious takeout sub? Russo's can't be beat!

Just get the original Russo, a Ham and cheese or anything else is basically the same without onions, tomatoes or pickle. I love the oil on their bread here, I don't even use oil on my subs normally but their bread is somewhat sweet and it's great. They close kind of early but based on the location that doesn't surprise me. Just annoying when I'm craving one around 8 and remember they're closed.
